I'm so glad that I went to India last year. Viewing the images is heart-warming, and will be even more so as the years tick by. This is one of my favorite shots of this young girl, shot near a remote train station in Rajasthan.
I find this to be a great shot. I find myself thinking about her story, where she was, what she was doing, what her life is like. Great exposure and detail. Well done Colin.

Greg
Thanks! I keep thinking about how to somehow get a small print to her. It would take some thinking.
What a great capture, the light is just fantastic. The image is quite striking due to the fact about all the unknown about the little girl like Greg mentioned.
This shot reminds me of a similar shot done by National Geography many years ago of a young girl in Afghanistan, it was on the cover page.
Great work Colin👍🏻
Thanks Dan. I have some other ideas on how to get a print to her, just need to spend the time doing it. Being self-employed consumes so much of my time. Thanks for the prod. I could easily go to India again.
Truly exceptional; hats off from India itself. Please visit again. You need three lives to capture our culture, heritage and traditions. Each and every state has it's own unique feature, different language, different food, different look, different dress etc. Please most more which you have found interesting.

Thanks! My trip was to the Rajasthan region, and if I do come again, it may indeed be to the south.
Please most more which you have found interesting.
You can see my India photos on my website - please use a desktop computer, not a smartphone.
There's so many aspects of photography that I could throw myself into; portraiture, travel, landscape, long exposure, but for now birds have my attention. I need a few more lives.
