Just saw a $100 discount on this lens at B&H so pulled the trigger. This is the SP lens for FF Canikon, not the APSc 35/1.2 lens and it's not made for Sony so it's an adapter for the A7R3.
I have the Rokinon SP 14mm (Canon) and I'm very impressed with it, use it WO for astro. 35mm is a bit narrow for astro but can get some use, and it's good for some low light photography so I'll be testing it with Fred's corner test. I also have the older 35mm/1.4 Rokinon so it will need to be at least a little better to make it worth keeping.
Adapter thickness is important as I found with the 14mm. I have MC11 and trimmed Metabones adapters but will check both (the MC11 is perfect on my 14mm).
Should arrive on Wednesday and we have a bit of snow but also clear weather coming over the following couple of days.
The lens went back. The copy I had suffered from an excess of purple fringing and too much coma for astro. I'll get some images up today if poss.
I ended up taking the astro images before I planned the corner test as I was busy during the day and had 1 clear night before some cloud and snow. In the center, bright stars had a strong purple halo round them and in the corners coma + PF
When the lens arrived I took a quick look in the corners with high mag to see if anything was amiss centering wise. All looked pretty good except 2 things; 1) it focused past infinity on the MC11 adapter I use on my SP 14mm Rokinon and is pretty much dead on, and also with a wide Zeiss EF I have. I don't have any other thicker than normal adapter and didn't want to start shimming an MC11. 2) as it's such a fast lens even when down at ISO 50 at F1.2 on a sunny day (which is was) sunlit objects can get overexposed, and when I was inspecting the corners I noticed some really bad PF on some OOF tree branches in the foreground as I panned around. That made me suspicious and the astro shot confirmed it.
Because the astro was so poor I didn't bother with the Fred's corner test. There's always a risk of getting a scuff or 2 on the barrel and knowing it was going back I skipped it.
Ohh, and it is a freaking monster! OK so I knew it was going to be big and I can read specs but it didn't click until I got it out of the box. Sorry I didn't think to take a photo with it mounted, many would have fallen off their chairs laughing. And it's heavy ... just to give some kind of idea it larger than a 135mm Canon F2 L lens, and 50% heavier.
