Once again the Wowtographer of the universe nails it. People might think right place right time but those that spend time in the field no better. A lot of work, persistence , and knowledge leads to the right place at the right time. Over the years I have had the privilege of meeting several notable photographers in the field and have had the opportunity to discuss equipment and share special moments. Most of them very well versed in their field and knew their subject matter which made a big difference especially in the field of Nature photography.
You are certainly one of these. Keep up the great work I look forward to your postings.
Yea, I would clearly say this image would be a "defining" moment for any photographer! Good heavens what a shot! Believe it or not, I'm glad I've never had the an opportunity like this; if so, I'm not sure I could ever convince myself I could ever take a better image.
Cheers!

Huge thank you. I think subtly is beautiful too. But this was maybe the most wow moments I have seen.
Thank you, everyone! Sorry about the delay, I have been on the seascape road the last couple of weeks!

As a consumer, I don't care much how you got it. I enjoy the end result. And here the end product is a great one.
Thank you very much Nugeny. I very much appreciate you taking precious time to respond here. I totally get you! I knew some would feel that way about the HOW of an image. That is why I have tried to make it a practice to put the "Details for the more inquisitive" below the image for those who do want to know. Also, even though I respect some of the compositing work done these days (when it is done well and with disclosure) I still think it is extra special sometimes when an image is not and disclosure is given. Had a ranger not been right behind me, and a couple of other photographers witnessed this moment (and posted to social media) I think many might not believe it.
