Not sure which Board amateur concert photos belong to. I attended Kiss concert the other night and had a lot of fun. We have "no professional camera" policy in most venues, LA Forum as well. So I brought Sony RX100V6, which I bought specifically for occasions like this - concert photos from your seat, hoping that 200mm on tele end would work, plus 20MP gives some room to crop. This was my first outing with RX100V6. I was seated about 50 yards away from the main stage. Loved the show. Photos turned out good too for this small of a camera. Most photos were heavily cropped. I shot in shutter priority at 1/160-1/250 mostly. Here are some:

Awesome photos! Really good quality for non-DSLR.
Aren't those guys getting a little "old" for that? Can't believe they can still "fill" the Forum.
it was a sold out show. They are close to 70 y.o, and this is their official FAREWELL Tour. They swore at the beginning of the Tour that it is their last one.

Wow, what great shots! The noise actually gives it a good ole film look.
Too bad about the farewell tour, definitely the end of an era! Soon all the old rockers will start to die off, actually from old age and not OD's!! Good you were able to be there.
Years ago I saw an up and coming group open for Mott the Hoople in SF. The sound was so crazy they were booed off the stage, hopefully to never be heard from again!!! It was Areo Smith!!! LoL

Nice pics, enjoyed them. Not too long ago I was in line in a hospital cafeteria, and I turned around to see that Gene Simmons was standing behind me, waiting to get in line to get some food. No body guards, just himself. Turned out that he was a friendly, affable guy. Too bad Kiss will no longer be performing. Indeed, an end of an era.
