Great use of DOF

That said:

(1) ditch the frame

(2) looks like you accidentally shifted the camera up at the last moment. cant figure out why you would cut him mid-torso and eliminate what is (supposedly) interesting parts of the scene - especially when he is looking down.

Totally agree, Greg. 2/3 of the frame is trees in a picture about Remembrance Day.

Agree on the frame - the red needs to go.

The choice of the police uniform (I assume that is RCMP) instead of a military uniform is not what I expected for Remembrance Day. Very colourful, however.

Keeping much of the frame blurred was a good choice, IMO. At this time (obviously during the 2 minutes of silence at 11:00 AM on 11 Nov.) thoughts will go to places other than the immediate surroundings. Here we can imagine that the subject's thoughts have travelled to who knows where. What is he thinking about at this time?
