Excellent collection of images of birds and mammals were never see. Amazing to see so many varieties, and get such excellent photos, in a period of only 2 weeks.

Dave
Thank you, Dave. The Pantanal and Atlantic forest in particular were super-rich with variety.

Absolutely stunning photos. Great clarity and detail. Also loved the variety of shots. Great job. Would love to take a trip like that.
Thank you for the kind words - I highly recommend the trip.
Great shot of the sloth. These creatures are quite elusive and face shot such as yours is rare.
Where exactly is the southern edge of Brazil that you visited?
My wife and I have booked a private tour of Pantanal by car and boat for August and cost was a third less than for a group tour.
In retrospect what lenses would be your first choice for the Pantanal?
I sent you a PM, but quick answers here:
We also booked privately versus doing a group. We stayed at edge of Amazon forest at Cristalino Lodge, then the Pantanal, and then outside Rio at REGUA. All great places. If I could have carried more gear, my 500mm lens would be the choice for Pantanal (but we weren't shooting jaguar). I stayed more mobile using 400 DO plus 1.4x TC.
