Lovely images Greg! I'm jealous of the wolf and moose images
We are are in the middle of our third major RV trip up here, but so far the animals haven't been nearly as cooperative as previous trips. But we did have one marvelously clear day in Denali NP last week. We are heading down to the Kenai Peninsula for several days tomorrow.

Great Older. When I was in the Denali Park all peaks were covered by the clouds. It also rained on and off for two days so I went to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park via the Denali Highway. That park is equally beautiful. The first image I posted here was taken there. Is shows the Mt. Sanford mountain. It's not Denali but also very tall (over 16K feet).
I've lived here for just about 50 years now and I'm still exploring new places yet also taking photos of the same places but in a different light. You covered a lot of miles in a single week. It has been a rainy summer for sure, and they say it will continue through fall and on into November. Strange weather. But if you come to Alaska and don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes and it will change. Glad you had a good time.

Hell of a set, Gregg. I love them all, but the wolf image is absolutely spectacular!
Thanks Adittam
Seems like lots of people like animals. Next time I’ll spend more time in Kenai NP where I can see more wildlife and, of course, humpback whales. Kenai is famous for humback and killer whales etc. But landscapes there are spectacular too!

I'm usually partial to landscapes, myself, and these are amazing (as yours always are). That said, when you knock it out of the park with an image like that wolf photo...just wow.
I don't ever comment, but this set is making me comment. I just really like it....specifically the landscapes. They are not over the top, saturated, things you can't imagine seeing. Images like those are fine too, but I could actually see myself seeing these images in real life. (but not capturing them) They are peaceful, moody, and just have a quiet, real, but simple elegance to them.....no doubt a result of being masterfully captured and processed. I keep going back and looking and find it really hard to pick a favorite....there are things I really like about each.
Beautiful series, Gregg. Alaska has always been a target of mine and you have just push it further up the list! Hahaha. The 3rd shot is beautiful. Moose is stunning. May I ask how close were you to the wolf and moose, and what lens were you using? Like another poster said, the processing is just "elegant." I'm drawn to processing now that is understated and quiet. Processing like yours allows viewers to look at the image for long periods of time without tiring.
I hope I'll be able to get help from the FM community when I plan my Alaska trip.
