Instagram is just a nightmare of bots just waiting to pounce on a new post,so annoying. I've been giving Vero a go, no bots, no AI, no ads. seems pretty good. it's much more photographer friendly.

Agree, IG by default pushes so much 'recommended' posts.
But you have the option in the App to view just those you follow plus a few ads by tapping the large script text "Instagram" logo on the upper left and select "Following". You have to do this every time you open the App as it's not a setting. This reduces the clutter of feeds.

You can also close any suggested post and choose the option to snooze suggested posts for 30 days. I do that every 30 days
However if I simply add “Instagram.com/username” it automatically corrects the link to http instead of https.
Not that it matters that much since the Instagram itself will route through https, but it’s something that you should know about.
Please consider adding Threads button/link (Instagram version of Twitter).
It supports now 2560x1440 photos with HDR gain maps and it’s great for photographers, much better than Instagram as a way to share photos.
You could also add HDR support to your website, it’s supported in all main web browsers at this point.
Now we can easily add HDR gain maps to JPGs and AVIFs with proper SDR fallback.
So when a person sees the photo on an HDR display, it’s displayed with additional brightness information.
But if it’s opened on a regular SRD display, that it uses the original photo, so there are no issues.
If I’m not mistaken DPReview has recently added support for HDR too.
