We've been coming to Maine for years, and each year I spend hours in the kayak with the resident loons. However, this is the first time that a chick hatched during our visit. The setting sun really help with the colors. All were taken with the D5 and 200-500 from a kayak.

Top notch Rich! The last image is my fave. Really shows off the parent/child relationship, and the lovely, subtle colours of the adult.
