A lovely foggy evening during my winter trip to Yosemite (my first time ever) in January '17. Though I don't have any other trips to compare it to, winter strikes me as the best time to visit. I wouldn't say you have the park to yourself, but the amount of people is very manageable. I can't imagine what summers are like! C&C welcome, otherwise enjoy
This was taken shortly after sunset, dark enough for long exposure, but not so dark you can't see where you're going.

Very nice! You must have been there around the same time as me. I visited in Jan '17 also, and had similar snow conditions.
I wondered if there were any FM'ers around Jan. 25 is the date I have for it. I was there for a few days on either side of that.

Nice moody image.
Thanks! Moody is how the scene struck me when I was there, and is what I hoped to emphasize.

Two notes:
I have been to Yosemite many times and every season, you are absolutely correct that winter is the best time of year. Timing the snow conditions can be difficult though.
Very nice work, I can't wait to get back up there this winter!

Glad you are still at it man!!! Congrats on the beautiful image!
Thanks for checking it out Mark! Yep, still at it when I can...but I'm not nearly diligent enough about getting out to shoot. I've always admired your discipline to get out there and make the photographs happen! At least I have a back log of dozens of images to keep me occupied.

Thanks for looking! Yes, I think we got lucky with the snow. We arrived I think the day after a big snow, and left right before the next big snow would have trapped us there (oh no, what suffering that would have been )
