Highway Glacier
When I was composing and taking this photograph, it was clear to me what I wanted it to be about. I wanted it to emphasize two most important components that characterize this landscape: rock and ice. I also wanted this photo to tell the story of how these two components have shaped this land by constantly colliding with each other. The slow and quiet but unimaginably strong glacier force was able to transform masses of rock into this beautiful and dramatic landscape. Enjoy. Any comments, questions are welcome.

Technical details. Multiple images stitched in Lightroom for this panoramic view. I prefer to shot longer focal lengths and stitching photos rather than single wider angle shot. This allows me to preserve natural perspective.
Post processing: 90 % done in Lightroom and finished in photoshop.
Artur, what a beautiful image (as always), and it conveys (to me, at least) what you were hoping for. Looks like the glaciers are receding there too?

Thank you Keith. Yes, all glaciers are receding. This one is no exception. The photo does not exactly show its size but it is about 15 kilometers long.

Thank you. I'm glad that I was able to show my feelings through my photography. That is most important and most difficult task for photographers.
