Finally pulled the trigger and bought the 500mm PF. I have been thinking this for a while, and first it wasn't in stock and did not feel like order and waiting. On Friday stopped my local camera shop and they had it in stock and after testing it for a moment, mainly feeling the size/weight and focus felt snap I decided to get it.
My previous go-to long lens was Sigma 150-600mm C and I haven't been super happy with the focus perf with that lens, maybe it's me, maybe the lens. After playing with the 500mm PF during Saturday and Sunday, it definitely feels better, sharper, more keepers focus wise etc.

I'm back to the 500 PF club. I'm mostly a Sony user, but always missed the size/weight of the 500 PF compared to the 200-600 Sony. With the announcement of the z9 I decided to switch back. I'm going to use a D500 temporarily until I get the new body.

This racoon family had made home in a large hole in a tree we came across while walking a boardwalk in Cedar Key, Fl. Had I not been looking in just the right spot as the wind blew the leaves, I would never have seen the reflection of a pair of eyes hidden within....
