Ice Fog
This picture was taken on a very, very cold morning( it was below minus 40 Celsius). At this temperature, fog turns into ice crystals. This was one of the brightest displays created by ice fog, that I photographed.
Quick tip for everyone to avoid sun flare. When shooting into the sun, most likely you will get some flare. Flares are created by direct light that is reflected by the surface of the glass in your lens. Small flares can be removed in post-processing most of the time. Bur the large ones are much more difficult to deal with. My technique to avoid it when shooting is simple.
1. When Sun is far from the frame but you still are getting flares, try to create shade over the front of the lens.
2. When you have a direct light source in your frame, cover this part of the frame ( use your hand, finger, lens cap etc.). Take multiple shots ( with and without covering the lens) and blend later in photoshop.
Really like this one Artur! Love the symmetry of the trees, the way the detail transitions from bottom to top and the tonality. A damn fine photograph!
Ice fog is a rarity here in Mary-land and I love it! This is great and personally, flare might not hurt this image...the rainbow flare adds to the starkness of the image.
Great one Artur!

Nice image. I've been fortunate to experience what we call "frozen fog" twice growing up in West Texas. There is no question it is really weird stuff. If you drive through it, it makes little tinkling noises.

Nice work sir. Curious what do you even wear to be able to shoot in those kinds of conditions??
Thank you sir. You definitely need winter gear from head to toes. There are some challenges but the worst one was when one-night whiskey froze solid at minus 36.

Thank you. At this temperature, all kind of weird and beautiful things happen. One of them was when we got square tires ( tires froze flat overnight) and first 15 minutes of driving was very funny.

Thank you Dan. In this image, I only had small and easy to deal with flare. But I had many that I no chances of removing it in post-processing.
