I haven't had the Ruby Throats in many weeks . Planted all kinds of new things for them and now no birds to enjoy them

Here are a few shots from March and April before they left for parts unknown. Reminds me to cherish the moments .

“Look at everything always as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time: Thus is your time on earth filled with glory.”
― Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

As always , your nits, crits, suggestions and comments are most appreciated.

Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy,

Birdie

So beautiful, Birdie. I really love the color, motion wing, flower setting and background. Well done as usual.

These are superb Roberta. Possibly they have left the country before ICE catches up with them.

I think I read, maybe on the Cornell site, that the rubies are now wintering farther north, eg your area, rather than all moving to Central America in winter. So if this is true they might be headed north for summer grounds already. We just planted our hummer flowers last weekend - the earliest we can plant safely up here at 52 north - so hope we will see them in a few weeks too.

Beautiful interplay of flora and fauna! Usually when you try to do this, the flower and bird would be competing with each other (and that’s not good) but this doesn’t seem to be the case here. The bird and the flower actually compliment each other and the compositions, exposure and color tones are simply gorgeous and beautifully illustrates your great eye and artistic sensibility.

Roberta,

The first image is the winner for me! just love the colour, composition and of course this little bird that I have seen only twice in CR.
My only suggestion would be to boost the exposure a tad as it is a bit underexposed.

Best,

Juan Carlos
