We just returned from Hwange and Mana Pools National Parks and I wanted to share the cheetah encounter we had one evening. It was our first (and only) evening where the light and subject came together - unfortunately golden light was hard to come by this trip!
As I work on the images I'll post others, if anyone's interested I can provide a "trip report" as well.
Golden light indeed Bob, I gather this was from Hwange?
Love the intense mood in #3, just watch your blacks, they're a little cooked here.
Did you encounter any Wild Dogs in either Mana or Hwange?
I must say my last Mana/Hwange trip in June '17 was also very disappointing.........but hey, you get that.
Hi Marc, it was at Hwange and unfortunately we didn't see wild dogs even though we stayed at Vundu in MP which is known for them. In fact, the BBC had just completed a four year project based at Vundu on them.
While MP is a beautiful place, at least in this season there wasn't much wildlife around. Even Hwange was limited although we had one game drive that was amazing.
Thanks for the comments on the blacks, I will back them off a bit.
