· Where is the reset button, if any on the A7?
I have an older A7 and the monitor died and I set the camera to monitor only so I'm kind of screwed
Is there a manual way to reset the camera so the view finder will come back up?
I've read that there's a physical bottom somewhere I can hold to get it back up and running but can't find it
Thanks

Never heard of one, but could be wrong. Try to connect a micro HDMI and see if you get output to view the menu?

If you know someone with an A7, they could probably walk you through the button presses needed to reach the LCD/viewfinder function in the menu.

I found this, now I have to find that darn HDMI cable to try it
Thanks
Use Micro HDMI cable
- Connect Micro HDMI cable to a monitor, the display comes up on the monitor automatically.
Then take off Micro HDIM cable, the display comes up on the LCD panel of the camera body automatically.
2. If you had your camera menu to return to first page of the menu you can try the blind method:
- Insert a battery
- Turn on
- Wait 15 sec
- Press MENU
- Press left
- Press down 2 times
- Press enter
- Press down
- Press enter
- Press up
- Press enter
- Press up
- Press enter
- Wait 10 sec
- The display comes up

We had an A7 donated to us and the evf was dead and the monitor setting wasn’t set appropriately.
I used a SmallHD monitor which did the trick. Flipped the video to the monitor and then could make the menu changes.
Problem with blind buttons is if you don’t have the menu on the first page first item.

Does anyone have this sort of key combo to get the EVF/Monitor working on the a7Siii?
