Interesting photograph. I might consider doing something with that bit of stick the extends over the reflection of the peak. As a friend and rather accomplished landscape photographer likes to say, "Perhaps it wasn't always there." ;-)

Thanks Dan - your thoughts seem to echo a few others. I'll play with it a bit more . Always appreciate hearing from you.

Awesome pic!
How do you like the Sigma 12-24? Looking to get a new WIDE angle lens.
Anymore pics you can post from it?
Thanks
Thanks!
I love the Sigma 12-24. It's become my go-to wide angle lens - even over the Nikon 14-24. I think the extra width of 12mm adds that much. Build quality is excellent and sharpness is spot on (then again, I typically shoot f8-f14). Yes, I've read the reviews on how its a bit soft in the corners - but honestly, I don't see it (at least it doesn't effect anything I shoot). My only issue is (of course) the filter thing. I do have the wonderpana for it - but damn those filters are big! Trying out the Nisi system (slightly smaller - and just for ND/long exposure shots).
As for posting - if you look at anything I've posted over the past year with wide angle - you can assume that was the lens. Latest was "A (too) quick trip through the Canadian Rockies". All but the shot of the trees was with the lens. Hope that helps!
What an amazing sight Todd! Like a few others, the only small nitpick I would point out would be it would be nice if that foreground branch wasn't intersecting the reflection of the peak. But otherwise I think it's perfect!

Thank you everyone for the kind words, comments and of course suggestions. I did take a look at trying to clone out the branch - and it does help. Out of town right now - but will post that version (for those that care) when I get back.
