p.1 #1 · Eye Spy - Valley Of Fire (1) (color added)
Was down in Valley of Fire last early Sept. It was...hot. We made it 2 nights and were woken up the 2nd by a wicked tstorm that chased us to our car out of the tent. As it calmed down we went out to catch some lightning...and did...through this arch even...except that all my shots were either motion blurred or out of focus. Awesome. As it brightened I saw this small pool that was formed by the rain. Focus stack. Darker shot for sky. And a ton of time later including buying Helicon Focus...and we have this rendition. Appreciate the thoughts all.

Would love to see this in color. I have been to the area many times and am always amazed at the texture and variance in color created by the sun but b/w takes that the color out of the equation. Like it!

Thanks all. Definitely a bit of a tough place to shoot. Lots of tight shots and intimate landscapes. The color here wasnt really a thing. Have other shots from here that looks like freakin candyland with the color. Can mess around a bit later but the b/w is the more compelling shot imo.
