p.1 #1 · Sasso Lungo / Sasso Piatto at dawn (Dolomites, Italy)
While on a ski holiday, I woke up early one morning, drove up to Passo Sella, and walked a couple hundred meters in the snow to set up my tripod for a shot of the Sasso Lungo / Sasso Piatto mountains.
The initial plan was to do some photography and some skitouring. In the end I just waited until the light was right (and my fingers were frozen) and took this photo (Sony A7Riii, Metabones V, Canon 16-35 f4 IS).
I find many if not most of the photos posted in this forum amazing - a lot of them are several steps above where I am today. But I definitely want to get better. So C&C on composition, PP etc are very welcome!

Really lovely. I really appreciate the deep shadows that keep their detail, and the composition with the lit rocks toward the right of frame ant the road drawing down the the bottom left. Thanks for posting.

Vignetting in the sky is quite dark. I'd try to lighten that up (but not the shadow on the land/snow). Also lightening up that cloud above the mountains would improve the photo IMO.
Beautiful scene and I can feel the cold with you. Thanks for enduring it to give us this photo.

Many thanks EGrav and BSPhotog, appreciated! I tried indeed to play with the shadows and the road direction...
(my car is parked somewhere down there in the deep shadows!)

Many thanks for the comments, I'll definitely experiment with the ideas! Did you mean the cloud on the left?
