These are just crazy good Eric...
Actually, they are simply great! Beyond being technically sound and lovely to view, they exude a sensitivity that inspires one to think about the plight and future of the species.

Fantastic stuff!

Many thanks to you Bruce for your kind words. I had hoped that the photos resonated as more than simple bear images so I am quite happy to hear they have.
Eric
That is one fantastic set Eric! Wow, did you get your money's worth out of your trip up to the frozen north (and where I am, I still have snow in the shaded parts of the yard). Glad I popped in to see what is happening on the site.

Wow, I just can't believe what you and Don got off of this single encounter....just so many good moments between the mom and cubs....of course it doesn't hurt that the cubs at this very young age probably rank in the top 5 of cutest things on earth (emperor penguin chicks may still give them a run for the money so something for next time)
All I can do is echo the many other comments here. These are just amazing images, and I really can't imagine being there and witnessing this. Every damn time I see polar bear photos all I can think of is what she is now up against. I hate what we are doing to the planet, but your photos are a testament for sure, of what exactly we will be losing.
Hope that's not too much of a downer. Thank you for sharing - I'd love to see these magnificent beings some day.

Thank you Ken...and I'm happy you popped in as well...there is no fee for lurking here as I found out over the last 6 months

Thank you so much. I agree with you wholeheartedly regarding the plight of these bears. To be able to witness and photograph this knowing there may not be much time left to do so was and is a sobering thought.

I have to agree with what Geoff said...
Thanks Dave....I too was quite amazed at what we were able to capture in such a short time frame....I know Don's images are so similar to mine and it's only because I posted them earlier that you got to see mine instead of his.

So nice to see you back....it seems it's almost like old times again here on N&W with lots of us coming out of the woodwork Thanks so much for your nice words.
Eric
Beautiful set Eric... great job! Here's a cold beer to your fantastic captures, even though you might want something a little warmer after experiencing the great white north.
