My mother -in-law gave Mia this green chair when Mia was just 2 or 3 years old, and to this day, as a 13-year-old, she sits in the chair in her bedroom every day, usually reading a book. Over the past year, I've been brewing on a concept that illustrated her love of books and the special place it takes her. This is a direction I'm wanting to take my portrait photography. so this is what we came up with. We brought her into the studio along with her book and the chair, and photographed her against green screen, then placed her in this scene I got from istock.
The lighting on her is good, but it doesn't really match the scene which is backlit. I'd also consider matching the fantasy world to the cover of the book, in this case pull some of the blue/green tones and maybe use a dragon (I think that is a dragon).
It might be easier to match things up if you pick the background first to match the lighting style. In this case maybe back light with some softer fill that would be warm from the lanterns?
Very nice fantasy work! My only suggestion would be to change the color of the chair. Darker. Maybe black or red. In order to frame her within the frame. An idea worth its cost.
