Made my first trip to Crystal Cove a few weeks ago. Considering I've lived in South OC for roughly 40 years - I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this fact. Oh well - wanted to try out the articulating screen on the D850 - so I found a spot in between some rocks where the waves would rush in. My back and I are loving this feature. Thanks for taking a look. CC are always welcome and appreciated.
Great shot Todd. Would you care to share any shooting information? Like for example, did you focus stack? And if so, did you use that neat D850 feature that focus stacks for you? Just loving the sharpness throughout the range.

Jim;
I would have liked to focus stack this one - but I couldn't. The water was rushing in too quickly - and I had to work pretty fast before I got soaked. Actually had to do the "grab and lift" on a few occasions to avoid the bigger sets. Details: D850, Sigma 12-24 shot at 12mm, f18, 1/5 sec., 64 iso. I tried to pick a focus point that would cover the whole range - I was happy to find out later that it worked. And, yes - I do like the sigma 12-24 a lot! Thanks for the comment - and the question.
