I like the floating objects. Gives it that summertime in the south feel of cottonwood seeds floating around.
I never would have noticed the pattern, but since others mentioned it I went back and looked and now I'm curious, if you don't mind telling us, was it done in post? Regardless, I like it.
Thank you! RE the floating dust, it was obviously added in post. I liked it, and these are going on my wall, so I added it. I wanted to keep this year's image as close as possible to last year's so I added it again (overlay). They won't be hung side by side so the repeating patterns don't bother me, in fact, I'm currently debating replacing last year's with this year's version. I had JUST ordered a framed print of last year's and put it up on my wall so it's a tough decision! lol
I have never commented on your work before...but every photo I have seen with your name on it has been stunning...would love to learn some hints, tips and tricks from you....beautiful photo
Lovely daughters. Reminiscent for me of Michael Apted's 'Up' series where he filmed 14 British children every seven years. Yours is obviously much more limited in scope and highly personal in nature. Comparing the two images, I find the older one draws me in much more as the connection between the four seems so strong. Especially with the one on the left leaning in to the other three. Perhaps the more formal feel of the present day photo is just a result of the maturing process. Could be my imagination.
