Wow, that's a solid portrait that brings out the character of the individual. I like the three levels of contrast created by the black coat and face being below and above the background.
SERIOUSLY good. There aren't too many images that I look at for more than a fraction of a second. Stared at this one. WELL DONE and what an interesting subject!

Andre Labonte Offline Upload & Sell: Off
This is a really, really nice portrait, as everyone has mentioned. My problem is his left eye -- it's very small, and has the slenderest arcs of sclera showing. It's as if he's squinting. It appears to me that the white of his eye is gray, but it's his lower lid. I wish I could explain my issue better. Maybe if there was a catchlight...
I menat to comment before you won but I did vote. Really strong portrait. I like the dark top. Was it Penn that did those portraits with subjects in a dark top? Skrebneski to and that famous portrait of Orson Wells. Well done Evan....
