p.1 #1 · Vermillion Lake Sunrise - Banff National Park
On friday, I took a few hours off in the morning and went to my old reliable spot - Vermillion Lake. Because the light had not cooperated for me for 2 weeks.
These are my best two of the morning.
1 - is single image processed
2 - is AEB images blended
Comments and feedback are appreciated. Scott
1 - 1/2 hour before Sunrise

dbehrens: We have had snow and warm and cold - and the snow is not stayed long enough for deep snow in banff. But the season is young. Glad you like 2. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

I'm torn. I really like both versions. The first with that blue hour lighting is very peaceful. The sunrise colors on the second makes it very appealing. I can understand why you posted both!
Best,
Fred

I like the first one. There is something about the red tones in the clouds on the second that doesn't look right to me. Not sure if you did, but looks like you exposure blended on the 2nd image and you're getting some strange "edging" in the red to white transitions in the clouds.

Bob Altic:Glad you love 2. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Fred Miranda: Glad you like the juxtaposition of before and after sunise. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
01Ryan10:Glad you like 1. I will look at the tones transitions of reds in 2. It was intense as it always is at vermillion. I think it reflects the several mountains leading into the mountain range to the east. But I will look to make sure the 2 blend is not causing to high a transition jump. Thanks for the detailed feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Ipanematom: Glad you like 2. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
