Nearly everyone got absurd light this year in the great southwest during monsoon season. After everyone was set up here, I took a quick handheld between two of my client's tripod legs cramped together (they invited me to). I bracketed 3 shots and was off helping others.
This is a single raw file representing the absolutely insane display of red/pink and a rainbow over the Grand Canyon pretty well. It is not adjusted much more than my custom Presets in Lightroom with a fine-tuned tweak or liberty here and there.

Yes that's the spot, Mark. Nice imaging. During August (and maybe more) this phenomenon takes place every few days, it seems. For the past two years I only had a day or two to hang around the north rim and got these fabulous conditions as well. We may not be so lucky next time.

I have spent more days than I can count here during Aug and Sept over 25 years, and I would disagree completely that this happens every few days. But yes, if you chase the right storms here you can get great payoffs from time to time in Aug-Oct...
