Montsonis, Spain.

Early morning set up to photograph Goshawks, first Goshawk comes in for a few minutes acts rather nervous then is off, I thought this was strange until this Golden Eagle appears out of nowhere, a first for me

(I did get some Goshawk shots later

).

Awesome shots Howard. I'd love to have the opportunity to photograph a GE at that sort of range.

I notice that familiar rock in a lot of your raptor shots. Do you use bait to get them there or are they just always coming to this spot?

yes the bait was for the Goshawk, this is a Goshawk set up hence the same rock / place, except this Eagle had other Ideas!

Great shots Howard. It's hard to pick favorites, but 1, 3, and 5 stand out. I wouldn't mind seeing the eye on the right in 3 lightened a bit though ~ Ron
