On Saturday morning I woke up early to skin up Tumalo Mountain prior to riding the lifts at Mt. Bachelor for the day. I wasn't paying too much attention to the changing light conditions as I made my way up the 1500k foot climb but was pleasantly surprised to find some great conditions when I finally caught my breath and set up. Enjoy!

Bravo, on a very fine image. It really puts me right in the scene. Only thing better would be seeing this in person. A pleasure to view.
Hi Jeffery - thanks for the good words. The only downside to seeing this in person was the cold temperatures, it's best viewed from the warmth of your home!

Fantastic! Looks like the PNW is doing much better than the Wasatch.
The Central Cascades are full of snow; some reports were 250% of normal for this early in the season. The Wasatch sure was fun last year!

Nice capture! 1500' up in snow is quite some effort!
Thank you Dale! Indeed it is but it's always nice knowing you get to ski down

You got the good day. I was up there the day before and the day previous. The forecasts I read said that Friday was going to be the day. Nice shot.
Thanks Dan! I am pretty sure I remember seeing you post a few photos from Tumalo on here a long time back and once we moved to Bend a shot like this was on my radar. I was looking back through files and actually like this one a bit more which was shot about 1 min prior to the previous photo, just as the high clouds caught a brief period of color.
