I have a Shoten helicoid adapter which looks exactly like the Yeenon and both have 6mm helicoid extension, I think they are the same with different branding. It's not thin, I think it's thicker than Voigtländer adapter (close to Rayqual). Mine does not have an infinity lock though that some Yeenon's have (not all). I don't actively use this adapter as I think the CV adapter is better.

Yes, I meant that Yeenon will not be suitable if it's in fact the same as Shoten since Shoten is not thin. It's close to actual spec-thickness (at least mine is).
This adapter will let you focus the CV 28/2 Ultron down to 0.2m!...I'm sure there is copy variation though so one may need to try at least a couple to get one that works. Also, the CV 28/2 won't perform great closer than 0.7m (MFD) wide open. It should be OK at f/4 though.
It works similarly to the Hawks. I tried two Hawks adapters and unfortunately they are not short enough. I don't see an easy way to make them shorter.
There is a black version too but it's not the one I tried.

I bought an helicoid adapter, a clone of the Voigtlander like the shoten, but i wasn't happy with it.
With all my m-mount lenses i noticed a general loss in detail at every aperture, like a little out of focus, a straight adapter was fine.
Could be it was not well centerd or there was reflections but i sold it with a lens.
It was a little shorter, infinite was generally at start of infinite symbol.

I'm perplexed.
Only @HaruhikoT can help us figuring out this one!
All the simulations show that a PCX would improve the CV 28/2 for the Sony sensor stack. The problem is that it DOES NOT! It actually makes it a worse performer. This lens does not benefit from a front-lens and it's already compatible with the Sony sensor. I know another lens like this one and it's the CV 15/4.5 III M-mount.
I can get better mid-frame and corners will the lens 'naked' and it's actually outstanding starting at f/6.7. (middle aperture between f/5.6 and f/8) although f/5.6 is also very good.
With the PCX2500, the image clearly deteriorates and it barely makes it to infinity anyways. I'm at the hard stop with it.... I doubt the PCX2000 will let any adapter reach infinity but it's possible if you have a very short one.
Keep in mind that the CV 28/2 Ultron has extreme focus shift and therefore must be focused AT shooting aperture. If you focus the lens at f/5.6 for landscapes, the results will be great. I will post crops demonstrating this later on...
Sorry for the bad news. (Or good news if you didn't buy a PCX for it)

Any chance that the problem is that it doesn't quite let you get to infinity, but is close enough so that it looks like it's in focus but is slightly worse? A long shot I know...

It's not the case as I still have a very tiny tad before the hard stop for perfect infinity...and...the center looks identical (naked, 2.5m or 5m).
When re-testing the lens with the 5m PCX, (which allows plenty of room), the results were also slightly worse. The trick for this lens is to focus at f/5.6 and shoot at f/5.6 for great results with landscapes.

Ah well, it was worth a try. I think I'll stick with my 2/28 ZE rather than switch to another interim solution until the One True Loxia/APO-Skopar/Firin appears...
