The image was taken from a hide/blind and the osprey successfully flew off with its prime specimen.

Superb and unique image Tim. Usually they grab there pray with there talons during a dive. I'd love to hear the story of how this happened.

Hi Morris you can see one talon in the fish, this is the next one in the sequence:-

They dive so fast, you just fire away keeping your focus as best you can on the bird, you know how it is.
A guy next to me with 12FPS somehow missed this moment.
