There is something admirable about each one. For example, I love the wide open space in the first one and the beautiful light in the second. Reminds me of the prairies in North Dakota. Well done!

Gorgeous! God is an amazing artist! I like the clouds in the first and last, but also love the sun peeking from behind the school in the third. That's a gorgeous place to discover. Great eye!
Probably, but she needs us to experience and express it.
Love the sun just over the roof ridge. Also like that you have given us your vision of the moments.
C&C - Well, I'd start with a new roof, then fix the siding. After that, new windows....
Seriously, I love the diffraction star in the third, the weird light in the second, the bizarre clouds in the fourth, and the distant rain in the first. All fantastic in their own ways.
Thanks Grog. Speaking of construction, what surprised me about this school, other than it was in the middle of "no where", was that the interior was structurally in tact except for part of the teacher's quarters. There were the ruins of a large wood stove. However it clearly had been wired for electricity. It also had a "green board", suggesting that it might have been used in to the late 50's. Whoever built it knew their carpentry.
What's interesting about these images is how they go against the prevailing trend to hyper-realistic sharpness. I don't think they would work nearly as well if they were forensically sharp! Maybe that's a function of the size and the display format (JPEG on a forum)? Anyway, I think they work very well this way.
Thank you all for your comments and votes. I never considered the possibility of a "Feature Thread". My reason for FM was always to learn from you. Again, thanks.
Hello Vic! I was just browsing and saw the thumbnail of the first image and was drawn to it so clicked and arrived here
Wow, I love the perspective in #1, big and wide and full of character in the sky and the landscape as well as the rustic building..................it really took me and gave me rush with that weather brewing.
Fantastic set, interesting comment by Jefferey, sometimes less is more
Congrats on the Feature Thread win, I can easily see why you got voted in!
