Your imaging is inspirational, Fred. All these are dynamic and very well made. I always enjoy the natural look and excellent control of light in your images. Bravo!

Beautiful images, Fred! While all are wonderful, I really like image 3 the most! I love the clarity, composition, light, and reflection of that image. It really makes me want to be there!

Thanks Keith,
I took the third picture while exploring a new location for a later sunset shooting. At that time, lake was showing a nice reflection of the Sierra Mountains. When I came back later on for the 'real' shooting, wind picked up and all the reflection disappeared. To make matters worse, it got very cloudy.
So, it wasn't the light I wanted but I've learn that in landscape photography, we can't get everything we want.

#3 is the winner for me. I've been meaning to get out to #1 for some time and just haven't had the time. What part of year were these taken?
Thanks Devon. It's a beautiful location and I highly recommend it. I am usually there during spring break.

DOF in #2 is spectacular. Really the stand out of the three images. Great captures Fred.

That's what's great about shooting at 12mm. No need for focus stacking!

Oh, I like these a lot. Can't pick a preference. When I saw #2, I thought that it doesn't get much better than that. Then I saw #3, and I liked it best. Then I went back to #1 and was in awe of the detail in the darks. I give up - all are fantastic.
Thanks!
The detail on the shadow area (#1) is due to image averaging. I believe I stacked about 16 images using "mean blend".
