To anyone considering these who hasn't used a Canon touch screen like the one on the 5DM4 - they are by far the best touchscreens on any camera system. Responsive, available everywhere (including menus), and highly useful.

I have had a look round the net and it seems it has only one SD card slot (I just won a bet with someone here about that, can't remember who). BIG minus from me and no real reason to upgrade

Looks like it's a fantastic camera. I'm still waiting for this exact camera in a mirrorless version so I can use my manual focus lenses using the digital viewfinder. I may have a long wait.

Would like to see the IQ compared to 6D at high ISO. Nothing really new for my needs so far I can see. But it looks like a nice follow up and surely will result in a lower price for excellent used 6Ds.
Is it really already 5 years ago, that I got the 6D into my hands?

Seems they have done away with the option to swap out focus screens, which is a small negative in my opinion. Otherwise the spec looks excellent, and will probably tempt me to finally upgrade my decrepit 5D later this year (finances permitting).

It could be just about anyone
I was with you, and am waiting for Phil Drinkwater to chime in, he almost claimed the victory some weeks back.

I'm not disappointed by the 6DII because yet again I have no reason to upgrade and that makes me happy, but it's pretty underwhelming I think, nothing very special at all.

For me, a camera doesn't have to be 'special', but making it 'right' is what matters.
Canon have made the 6D II 'right' to me in a few ways:
- Articulating screen.
- More than one useful AF point.
- Up to date sensor technology (anticipated higher dynamic range at low ISO).
- Nice bump in resolution from 20 to 26 MP
- 6.5 fps frame rate
All of these fetaures make the 6D II a camera that I could be satisfied with, while the 6D was a compromise only to get FF at low cost. Now it is more interesting than a 5D IV for the next camera replacement, but that will not happen immediately.

I tend to agree. I can't afford to throw money at cameras like many here, so when i buy it is for the long term. I held off on the 6D because the major upgrade i wanted was better AF than my 5D, and for tracking purposes it wasn't a particularly big step up. The 5D3 being outside my financial means, i kept the 5D.
The 6D2 is the camera i want to upgrade to. The AF sells it. I'm sure i will find the articulating screen useful too. The other features are pretty "meh" to me, though i guess i will learn to appreciate some of those as well.
I can see that if you have a mk1 6D and use it for protraiture and weddings then the mk2 is probably not all that compelling. If you are moving up from an older FF (5D, 5D2) or crop then i think it looks very attractive - an excellent all-round camera.

Haven't seen any European pricing yet.
The price in Holland is € 2130,-
Nice camera, something for me later this year.

6Dmk2 is nearly matching Nikon D750 specs, only another card slot is missing. I have expected much more crippled body.Good for you Canon users.
