Surprisingly good performance. Not going to catch the GF 23mm in the corners, and like he says it needs a 165mm filter system (could probably get away with a 150mm one), but surprising none-the-less.
If I already owned the 14-24 I would consider going through this rigmarole.
Native lenses have the benefit of programmable focus stacking though.

Using those MF lenses makes sense to me. I use one of them on a Mirex adapter on my FF system and they are pretty fine lenses in general, plus on miniMF they would have more than enough image circle.
I'm also not quite getting the appeal of having to use TS lenses to get full coverage if that comes at the expense of full use of the TS functionality.
To me, this goes to the need for Fujifilm to offer lenses that offer the functionality that users are only able to find by adapting gear made for other cameras.
They have a 30mm tilt shift lens on their roadmap, so obviously Fuji agrees with you. They just take their time in developing lenses for the system. That tilt shift lens won't be here until 2023.
For those interested, the Hasselblad HTS 1.5 works perfectly on the GFX. In the case of the 50S/R, just download the latest firmware first.
For what the HTS is and does/doesn't do, hit up Hassy's website.
I deleted the rest of the more detailed post as some people just can't help but prove that free info for anyone who might be interested is only appreciated if it's how THEY would personally do things.
For close to $6k for an adapter, it should be well made. Would like to see some shots from it. Just using lowly canon TSE lenses right now. I saw Rob post about using Pentax 645 on the GFX but I looks like one needs mechanical knowledge to get it working properly.
Uhm, isn't it a bit backwards to extend the focal length of lenses that already are made for an even larger sensor? I mean, they should provide a large enough image circle for shifting anyway, right?

Bobby, you don't really need any mechanical knowledge to get up and running. The Fotodiox Tilt-ROKR P645 to GFX adapter works right out of the box. That link I sent you to my "hacks" for adding a lens collar was for adjustments that make it a lot more usable. That doesn't mean it's not usable unmodified. Most people just use tilt-shift adapters like that without modifications.

Thanks. I may try it, adapter is $300 something but that lens you mentioned is cheap, like < $200 if I am not mistaken.

Anyone use a Canon FD lens on their GFX? Thoughts? Also, what kind of adapter did you use?
Thanks in advance.

I have a FD 85mm f1.2 L lens that works nicely on the GFX. Not super sharp in the corners, but that
s not why you use that lens anyway... I don't use it much at all anymore, but I'm a bit sentimental about this lens so I've been resisting parting with it. Just a dumb adapter is all you need.
I had a handful of other FD lenses and none of them covered without hard vignetting, so they all went away. If you look through this thread from the beginning, there have been discussions about the FD, nFD and FL lenses that will work with the sensor reasonably well. Not too many cover, unfortunately.

took two quick shots last night with my 100s and the Canon FD 35mm f2 concave front (thoriated)
SOOC jpg Nostalgic Neg, I tried to focus on the Stan & Gwyn tag and show as much center frame and top left corner as possible. The only other setting I adjusted was the exposure time. With cheap fotodiox adapter.

Is there a link to the images made with this combo? My GFX R with 50mm should arrive soon and I'm keen to play with other lenses.

I can't give you a link to specific pictures made with that adapter because I use the same lenses with two very different adapters, and I don't record which adapter I used. For example, I can show you lots of pictures I made with the SMC Pentax-A 645 35/3.5, but I can't be sure which adapter I used; most will have been made with my Toyo VX23D "adapter" rather than the Fotodiox Tilt ROKR.
The adapter will make a difference. For example, if you use a poor quality or misaligned adapter, an otherwise good lens will perform poorly. But if you're using two different adapters that are equally good (properly machined, properly finished on the inside), differences will come down to the lenses you put on the adapters.
All,
my GFX R is here and a couple of adapters from FotoDiox. I tried to put on CanonFD and Sony Alpha tele lenses but it seems I need to change a setting or something. Everything is just out of focus and remains so. I can see that if I stop down the exposure changes in A mode. I won't have my fuji lens till next week so thought of playing with it. Any suggestions?

What do you mean, you are manually focussing? I only used Canon EF lenses with a smart adapter. They work fine though auto focus is slow.
I expected AF to be slow. But tried various buttons but nothing changes the focus. So tried manual focus ring on 70-200 does almost nothing. Then tried 35mm FD TS-E and 85mm. It seems the focus is stuck in a zone. I'm certainly doing something wrong.
