And, how was the autofocus working?
I suppose you are joking , but if you don't know nFD lenses are manual focus so not really any AF performance to evaluate. I have yet to see any lenses including the GF ones with anything but very basic AF on the GFX 50s, and Contax 645 and EF were painfully slow. I understand things are much better with the GFS 100(s), but I haven't gotten one yet to check that out.

Not a joke, but apparently I know nothing about nFD lenses! I was asking only because I'm having AF issues with my adapter and EF lenses.

Jeff, which adapter you are using? This is on GFX100s, isn't it. Would like to know more as I am hoping once I get my GFX100s, I have better chance using my 85L.

Sorry I didn't mean to be critical or condescending. I think Canon FD and nFD lenses are often overlooked when they can be excellent choices. Most have a really nice helicoid and manual focus well, and that is especially true of the 300 f/2.8L. As I said I find AF challenging with any lens on the GFX 50S, hopefully it is better with the new cameras.

Bobby, I have the 100 and the 100s. And the KIPON adapter. I'm still sorting through all this since I have a load of EF lenses still. I'll let you know.

Good suggestion per Pentax! Will take a look.
You can see how the SMC Pentax-A 645 35mm f/3.5 performs on a GFX 50R at this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mIInzlyRvnMKS-MLOEdVjwX5gkNY3Xqn There are lots of other Pentax 645 lenses in this collection, along with other lenses I'm using or have tried. Note that these are infinity tests; there's a document in the folder that explains.
Performed some tests today using the KIPON AF adapter with GFX100 and Canon 100-400 II and 1.4x. There was NO autofocus using the 1.4x. Without it, the lens tried and eventually found focus sometimes (5 to 10 seconds). Basically the KIPON is useless with this lens.

That's how TechArt behaved with my Canon 3000m f2.8 IS I. At least with Kipon I can AF (slow) on GFX50s.
I bought a Metabones EF to GFX adapter. Compare to Kipon, it offers much smaller form. However, I mainly use it for OTUS ZE so I can't offer comments on AF. It controls aperture fine without any issue, and IBIS seems functional as well. the build and finish is also showing higher quality compare to Kipon. I think it worth to give it a try. I ordered from BH, so you can return it if it doesn't meet your requirements.
A report back. Finally got my 100S from BH (This time shutter is good! so far!)
Tested on various lens. My purpose is to find a (or a few) small size lens that has good enough coverage for portraiture while sharp enough for casual landscape shots.
My tests covering 50-60 range so far:
- Contax Zeiss 50mm f1.4 (great center sharpness at f1.4, edge improves noticeably already at f2.8)
- Minolta 58mm f1.4 (close to Zeiss but not as "pop" and edge softer)
- Helios 44-3 (weakest edge performance wide open, but good center sharpness and great character w/swirl bokeh)
I'm actually surprised by the CZ 50mm 1.4. My copy is one of those recent 15xxxxxx serial. The performance is better than the MTF would lead me to belief. I think it's becoming my "normal" lens on 100S.
I have a few more to test in coming days/weeks: 35-70 f/3.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 100-300.

It's better than Samyang 24mm TS. Have to try that Pentax 35 & Kipon too.
I'm getting some surprising, and surprisingly good, results with a Samyang 24mm f/3.5 TS I just adapted on my VX23D outfit. I'll post something up when I've confirmed a few more things, but considering it's reputation (mixed, to say the least), it's been a very pleasant surprise.
I posted these over on the Nikon MF thread, but thought it might be of interest here too.
I have a lot of old Nikkor rangefinder glass so I thought I will give one a try on the GFX-50s.
Below are some shots from around an old furniture factory building near me using the Nikkor-P·C 8.5cm f/2 Nippon Kogaku Tokyo (MIOJ 1950). This is a Nikon rangefinder mount lens and I adapted it to the Fuji with an Amedeo Nikon S/Leica M adapter then to a Novoflex M to GFX adapter.
I was surprised how well the old lens covered the sensor.

Well, yeah, it's my T/S lens at the moment for 50R. Works for many scenes well if I remember to stop it down enough
