few more for rokinon 85 1.2 sp, showing some distortion C1 lens profile is the Canon EF 85 1.2, only correction is vignette at 50. i will go outside one of these days and take some actual photos:
btw, you can find this lens for under 500 usd occasionally (i got mine here for 325). they have 50 and 35 1.2, but i wasn't happy with 35 1.2. the 50 1.2 i might try someday.
all are at 1.2 because I had aperture locked WO and adapted to dumb adapter (my reasoning is, there are better option if stopping down like any of the other GF lenses)
I own one. May buy the adapter soon, but we’ll see. I’m sure it’s been done already so maybe someone will chime in!

Super cheap and corners don't get fully sharp on full frame until f/8. Examples at f/2 close distance suggest quite a bit of mechanical vignetting going by the bokeh shapes in the outer frame. But for $25-$50, why not order one and let us know? The ones for sale on eBay right now look pretty rough, though. Not a single mint with box example.
Been using a few Minolta Rokkors but since doing panoramas in post more now, the vignetting was beginning to bother me. On a whim, just picked up three Mamiya 645 Sekor C lenses: 45/2.8, 80/2.8 and 150/4.
If anyone have any experience adapting any of those, I'd love to hear it. (I went back a few pages but haven't read every single one, if it's been discussed already).
I guess I should look at the corners to make sure these don't suck.
I said nothing about the 35-70, but you were the one that replied to me a long time ago saying you were having to crop the 100-300. Is that not the case any more? Are you now able to use the full 44x33 on the 100-300? Nothing wrong with 35mm crop mode or cropping somewhere between full frame and 44x33, but people asking about these lenses need that specific info, not just to hear they're usable. I actually bought a 100-300 due to the great shots you make with yours, but unfortunately there was an undisclosed issue with the lens, so I returned it to Japan – a huge PITA. The 100-300 is one of the most difficult CZ C/Y lenses to find in perfect condition and without haze, so I just gave up.
Just reviewed my old notes on 35-70/3.4 Macro CYZ with 50R.
- 35-70/3.4 Macro CYZ - Starts vignetting anything lower than 50mm.
Progresses to total tunnel vision super hard at 35mm.
However in macro mode, NO vignette, amazing, also amazing close focus in macro mode.
I had a Contax-N zoom which had a blown AF-motor but otherwise it worked fine adapted to Sony A7R2. So the issue might be that the AF-motor has bitten the dust.
I know about tide tables and finding the times for sunrise and sunset, but what web calculator do you use to determine when beautiful women in red dresses with show up on beaches to add color to a shot? 😜

Pretty happy with my Contax 100-300 and 35-70' rendering on the GFX. Or maybe I shouldn't be because of the corners.

Has anyone tried and compared two Voigtlander lens: 50mm f/1.2 and the newer 50mm APO-LANTHAR f/2?
The MTF of latter seems very flat which gives me hope it may outperform 50mm f/1.2 in the corner?
If you want to compare the Sony E mount versions, then you might be better off posting this on the Sony board. I am pretty sure that Fred has done this comparison. Sony E mount lenses can't really be adapted to the Fuji GFX cameras.
I was certainly asking the M version of those lens. (Posted a E-version MTF as that's the one I can find MTF info about the APO lens). The APO version is relatively new so I'm very curious if anyone tried it on GFX...

I think it would be very cool if Voigtlander started making APO lenses for the GFX line.

I'd much rather see some "classic" designs that actually covers the sensor properly and are designed with the sensor stack in mind. Many of the native GF lenses are so good that there isn't really any point in anyone else doing just as perfect lenses.

If Voigtlander designed lenses from scratch for the GFX, as Makten suggests, then, IMO, that would be great. I doubt they will but who knows. I am away from home and I can't check, but I doubt the Voigtlander FF lenses would cover the full sensor on the GFX. They already show quite a bit of vignetting on FF 35mm cameras. I have the CVM 35 f/1.7 and I do remember tests early in the thread with that lens that weren't too bad, but were also short of full coverage of the 44 X 33 sensor. In a few weeks when I am home I can repeat those tests. I think you are probably better off, as Makten suggests, however, using Fuji GF lenses which will cover the sensor well and are very good performers in this price and focal length range.
