It looks pretty crazy WO (i kinda like it) but F8 looks usable for casual stuff:

Regarding flare (since I didn't have the hood)

Not bad.

Overall I like it. Something about it reminds me of the Loxia (other than the 21mm FOV)

The Konica AR 40mm 1.8 was also a success! Very sharp from 5.6 on and no crazy vignette covers it quite well

Anything at a distance to see how the corners do. A lot of lenses do fine when focusing on something close up. Sometimes stopped down and focused near infinity the vignette gets pretty hard. Not a big deal depending on what you're doing of course.

I grabbed the 40/1.4 to complement the Sigma 135/1.8 for portraits and the like on the GFX. I had the 50/1.8 STM, it too did pretty well on the GFX.

lol, it's a pretty good value imo. Ergonomics wise it's very nice to use and feels really solid. I'm gonna order the hood for it even though it seems like it really doesn't need it. Their 35mm f2 is supposed to be good too, but haven't tested it yet.

For the adapter I have the 7artisans M to G adapter too. It jiggles just a bit but overall it's great. The color is a perfect match for the 100 too.

Below is with the Konica 40 with AR to M then M to G

I have the 7Artisans 28/1.4 in the FE+ version, and it's probably better than the standard version since it's tweaked for a thick(er) sensor stack. However, I haven't even bothered to get an adapter, because I find the results very random even on the Sony a7 II. The Konica 40/1.8 was also complete crap on the a7 and I have a very hard time to believe that it would perform decently on the GFX, except for closeups (which I never do).

A problem is that there are no adapters available locally here, and if I order from China it will get stuck in customs and take months to arrive. And by that time I've probably lost the interest already.

I was pretty interested in the FE+ version, I wonder how much of a difference there actually is side by side. I'm going to shoot some of the same scene with the Konica today. I do mainly MFD to medium distance, but curious to see landscape at near infinity performance just for reference.

BHPhoto ships to Sweden for about $10 usd (around 2 weeks plus customs I think)

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1595861-REG/7artisans_photoelectric_ring_gfx_g_adapter_ring_for_leica.html

Right now the non FE+ version is on sale for 10% off if you click the coupon on Amazon via Pergear (they are a great shop)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KW5Z4M1?pf_rd_r=F8VJG3MJK3K96Q1BSFP2&pf_rd_p=9d9090dd-8b99-4ac3-b4a9-90a1db2ef53b&pd_rd_r=1207ee24-9942-4b3b-922b-228274133d3a&pd_rd_w=kL0aB&pd_rd_wg=TKIYr&ref_=pd_gw_unk

I'm looking for the TTArtisan 50mm 0.95 right now to see how mushy (I mean creamy) it'll be adapted.

---------------------

Just tested the Konica outside. It flares pretty badly and there is corner smearing and some vignette on infinity stopped down. I put the lens back on the original body where it belongs lol

Has anyone adapted the Pentax 6x7/67 series of lenses to the Fuji GFX cameras? I’m curious as I have quite a collection of medium format Pentax SMC 67 lenses for my 6x7 MLU and 67 II cameras and would like to know how the lenses perform on these GFX digital bodies.

I haven't adapted it myself, but I have seen shots with the 105 f/2.4 that I really like. I have thought about getting one, but never pulled the trigger. I also looked for a 75 f/2.8 for quite awhile, but never found one before I gave up on the idea. At longer focal lengths the 200 f/4 and the especially 300 and 400 M* f/4 ED lenses are supposed to be quite nice, but again I have never adapted any of these.

Yes, I've tried the 90/2.8 and 105/2.4. Also have the 55/4 (early) and 75/4.5 but haven't bothered with those (huge, slow, and 75 is just an odd focal length).

The 105 is probably nice for portraits but I found it useless for my type of photography. It's really soft at f/2.4 and there is quite a lot of LoCA. The transition zone is very nice though, which is sort of the only good property of the lens, since it's large (with the long adapter), not very fast and not very sharp.
The 90 is sharper but has harsher bokeh. Both give pretty low contrast and a bit dull colors. Mine are the latest P67 versions too, so coatings should be OK, but the image circle is just too large to get decent results for allround use.

I would definitely use the 105 if I had a shifting device, to stitch images to full 6x7. But I don't and I doubt the shift adapters available have large enough throats for the large exit pupil of this lens.

Pentax FA645 150/2.8 works wonders with 50R. Here, @ f/4

It is ~on par in sharpness with GF50mm @ f/4. Wide open it is typical "portrait dud" with lower contrast and corner sharpness. Stopping down quickly boosts it to GF-lens territory.

I've adapted a few in my search for lenses that work well on my tilt-shift outfit.

* SMC Pentax 67 55mm f/4 (3rd and latest) is excellent. However, I didn't keep it because I found better options that were lighter and easier to use.

* SMC Pentax 67 45mm f/4 is OK but not great. I liked it up until the moment I compared it against the 45mm position on my SMC Pentax-A 645 45-85mm f/4.5, which is much better. The P67 45 has nice colours and plenty of contrast. It just doesn't pull in as much detail as the zoom.

* SMC Pentax 67 75mm f/4.5 (the old 75) is almost as good as the 3rd gen 55mm.

A suggestion: one reason to use P67 lenses is because you want to try shift and tilt. The image circle is huge, so you have lots of room for movement, and the quality of many of the lenses is up to the job. Fotodiox makes a tilt-shift adapter for P67 to Fuji GFX. I have the P645 to GFX version; I fitted the P67 lenses to it using the Pentax P67 to P645 adapter. I would actually recommend using the P645 version plus the adapter so that you can use a collar.

If you try this, you will definitely want to get a lens collar to fit around the front of the t/s adapter. This transforms it into a really useful photographic tool. This is especially important when using the P67 lenses because they're so heavy; mounting the camera to the tripod with those lenses and then using tilt-shift is a real pain.

Here is the collar I use for my P645 adapter. I bought a Chinese one off eBay and then shaped it to fit around the front of the Fotodiox P645-GFX adapter. Since making this one I found a better one that should fit without modification and will be easier to use, but I mostly use a different adapter these days so I haven't bothered. The better collar is the ZWO 78mm Holder Ring for ASI Cooled Cameras RINGD-78. I haven't tried it myself, but it should fit. Note that if you get the P67 to GFX adapter, you'll have to find a collar yourself because these won't fit around the front.

Ohhhh man! I’m both excited and a bummed. The 55/4, 90/2.8, 105/2.4, 165/2.8 & 200/4 lenses are the favorites of my kit. They’re big and heavy, but so is the 6X7/67/67II camera so it all comes together. I know the lenses are big, heavy and would be cumbersome when adapted to digital, but I was hoping they’d be performers that would have you coming back for more! I was afraid of the chromatic aberration and possible lack luster sharpness (especially with the 105/2.4). I guess if I were to get a (used) GFX, then I’d likely shoot with B&W in mind with the 67 lenses. Much to chew on. Thank you Makten!

I have the exact lenses you mentioned (the older original variants), but figured the 55/4 would likely get a bit more use out of that trio. The size and weight of the lenses plus their adapter(s) and almost necessary tripod use kind of kills the mood for me for my type of instantaneous and family photography. Hmmm, While I’ve never experimented with T/S before, it does make sense that these 67 lenses would be good candidates due to their ginormous image circle. You would imagine that any P67 adapter would have either a removable or permanent collar since the lenses are big any heavy. Bummer! Thank you much Rob for your insight. I don’t have a GFX...yet, but when that day comes I’ll at least have a small kit of 67 lenses to play with...the 135/4 macro might be an interesting T/S experiment.

Some of the adapters out there come with a built-in tripod foot, but that's actually not very useful. The collar is more useful because you can rotate the adapter inside the collar, which lets you have tilt+shift or swing+rise/fall in landscape or portrait orientations.

Tamron 35mm 1.4 SP vignettes anywhere other further than a feet or two and more stopped down but I still like it a lot. Adapted AF sucks but sometime it works. Fortunately for me I like the short MF throw.

7Artisans WEN 35mm f/5.6 Fixed Aperture Golden Pancake Prime (I was impressed by their 28 1.4 so wondered how this would be, spoiler: it's better on gfx than it)
(Cross posting from the pancakes thread)

Pros
-Excellent build quality, all metal doesn't feel cheap at all
-Covers GFX sensor quite well (vignetting is soft and can be corrected pretty easily)
-Has built in lens cover/cap thingy, opening position is calibrated to infinity very convenient
-Flare control seems good and pretty sharp!

Cons
-Due to nature of focus mechanism, there is obvious focus shift
-Some distortion
-Some CA (I shot BW, but I definitely noticed it on backlit stuff like branches and some edges of objects)
-Can't screw on filters
-Makes me want to sell my Sigma 40 1.4

Just bought a Nikkor 35/2.8 PC (black knob = latest version) and realized that you can use the full 11 mm of shift on the GFX. At least if there's nothing in the corners, because they have zero sharpness. The lens seems pretty sharp over most of the frame, unshifted, but you have to stop down quite a bit. Mine also has a terrible play in the shift mechanism, so until I've fixed that, I must press the lens firmly against the camera to get it perpendicular to the sensor.

This is 11 mm rise @ f/11, no vignetting correction (actually straight out of camera, but with XRAW studio). As you might be able to see, there's a lot of LaCA even if the camera handles it pretty well. Not much color cast, which made me very happy.
