Nice work, and like others #1 really stands out. One of the better dune shots from DV I've seen. Nice work getting a shot without offending footprints (virtually impossible when i was there - not enough recent wind).

Yea that was the silver lining arriving during a windstorm. While it was brutal on equipment and tents, it cleaned up the dunes nicely.
What grabs me immediately about your first image is the way the two uppermost clouds (not the cumulus) appear almost like sand dunes themselves (though softer/flatter). I hope this isn't lost in a large format print - as I notice that by zooming out a bit this "illusion" is easier to see.
I also love that the texture of the windswept sand on the right face of the dunes (highlight side) looks very much like reflected clouds on a glassy lake - perhaps a "you have to squint to see it" sort of thing.
A truly unique opportunity you found yourself with here and you did an absolutely wonderful job, both capturing and processing it!
I have seen many pictures made in Death Valley but I will dare to say that these are among the best I have seen.
Great selection of subjects, beautiful colors, perfect exposures, excellent visual design.
Congratulations!

Claw, all pictures are great. I really like the first one. Did you get someone to walk out there as I see two tiny figures that look human.
Yea two humans ... I am not sure why they were climbing the dune during a windstorm though, unless they started the climb earlier and got caught in it. I climbed the dune myself the following morning when everything calmed down a bit.
It's the people that drew me to take the photo - as they added great scale to the dunes and the clouds - and luckily my 100-400mm was with me at the time.
Beautiful set of images. You have captured all these locations well. The Eureka Dunes photos are excellent. It is a beautiful location that is relatively unspoiled since it is literally a PITA to get there. I do not like the footprints in the last image. That is a problem at Mesquite Dunes. It is too easy to get to and people head out there at the break of dawn and put tracks everywhere. Regardless of that, your photography is superb.

Thank you! I got to Mesquite Dunes around 3:30am and there were already people there. Oh well ...
