Great shot.

I must say, my eye is kind of drawn to the foreground. I'm left wondering what the foreground would look like if it were exposed properly. Perhaps this needs some HDR processing (not much though, don't want to ruin the tone of the scene )

"get bored" in Bend? If I lived there, I could never get bored! I used to get up there every summer before I got married to photograph the area, and now I only dream about getting back up there.

Nice photos! Enjoy the area.

Thank you. To clarify, I was never bored in Bend. It was the best town I ever lived in. I just have shot Sparks Lake like 300X or something. So sometimes out of boredom, I want to try something totally out of the box. I hope you get back there soon. Such an an awesome town. Prob the best in the US.

With your comment I am curious what would "exposed properly" mean to you? Also, how bright is your monitor calibrated to (if you calibrate)? This plays a ton into how it is rendered of course... Thank you for your feedback.
For reference I calibrate web to 125 Luminance/Brightness/CD. 2.2 gamma, 6500 White Point with the X-Rite i1 Display Pro...

Wow, that would look amazing printed on metal. Super shot.

Thank you so very much!

Or even better Robert Park's proprietary Lumachrome HD. Kind of like Metal/Fuji Flex acrylic mounts on steroids!
