How long ago was this exactly? Could you see if it was still deep enough anywhere to give an uninterrupted surface?
Kurt;
These were shot the evening of the 25th. I shot these about a mile or so north of the Badwater parking lot. Water was deeper had I gone out further - but I was more interested in getting a combo of the polygons and reflection. I had also looked at an area about a mile south of the parking lot - and you could easy get to a point where the salt was entirely submerged. Not sure what the conditions are now - but it was pretty damn good 10 days ago.
Thanks Todd! I was actually there from the 18th-21st. I've been trying to figure out if it's all evaporated yet and thus whether to go back this weekend.. The more interesting bits are definitely on the north side.
You had quite the show Todd! You found some great areas to work with and my favorite is the last because of the color contrast between the warm and cool. Those clouds also take on the look of some sort of nebula or something that gives it a space-like look.

Ben - thanks very much - I appreciate your comments. And, I (literally), couldn't have done it without you!

Very Strong images. It just reinforced my plans to visit that area again end of this year.
DV is a wonderfully, weird place. I was just there this past Friday night - amazing how this area changed in just 4 weeks.
