Hi John, thank you. I really like the 200mm. The longer working distance is great. The rendering of the backgrounds is so smooth. Colors seem very true. On the down side, it is heavy, no VR . So far I can handhold without much issue, unless I stack 2 diopters, then it is time to pull out the tripod. All in all, I am quite happy I got it.
Birdie
I am sure you are delighted, I would be
I had the Sigma 180 f/2.8 macro and it was very nice.
My 300mm has replaced it in way ... but I have a 15 year old collector's item for true 1:1 needs ... yet I have always yearned for the 200mm Micro-Nikkor
I will be very interested to see more of your work with it

Green anoles are the reason I am a naturalist. I took an interest in them very young as they were everywhere and it is such a wonderful image. The third photo is also spectacular.
Thank you so very much.

Shreeni, how do you spell beautiful in a long way? Thank you so very much.
Nice work. I assume you are using the AF Micro Nikkor 200D. How much additional magnification do you reckon you get with the T5, and what other differences (like IQ) do you notice with the T5, if any?

Thank you, yes it is the older AF Micro 200mmD.
The 5T is 1.5
The 6T is 2.9
I did not notice much if any change in image quality. The depth of field is definitely reduced.
