These are really beautiful, Mitesh. I love the purple tones in select penguin shots. The single penguin on purple is so peaceful and he looks so pensive. Really looks like the trip of a lifetime.
I guess I was too hung over to catch this thread yesterday. But I'm glad I caught it today. Great work from the Falklands. Wish I could have made the trip with you....next time
The purple hues in the 1st and 6th are great. The king penguin cuddle is great. Love the intimacy of the egg shot.
I must be more lenient as I'd give this effort an A+

Wow, you are a tough grader Mitesh....I think these are wonderful and really capture the essence of those far off places. This was a wonderful way to start off the New Year...Happy New Year my friend and thanks for sharing your special images.
Eric
Thanks for the comments, Eric! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. The tough grading has more to do with what I missed as opposed to what I captured. The Falklands are a very special place, and one of the few places left on this planet where a wildlife photographer has almost unlimited opportunities each day to express his/her creativity.

Wow, beautiful images, Mitesh. You are so humble on grading yourself ;-). If I can see and get these images, I would be smiling ear to ear for months.
Can't wait to see more from your trip.

Thank you very much, Tam! I will post more photos for sure as I go through them .

Thanks so much, Joshua! Yes, I did get a few keepers, but you know how it goes – you only think about the ones that you missed!

You are tough on yourself Mitesh, (as I think we all should be). All of these are well done, but the first two are unique as well as very well done. 6 and 7 also stand out ~ Ron
Thanks, Ron! I don't think of it as being tough, but I do want to be able to take pride in my work, so I expect to see constant improvement in myself. I believe I learned from this, and I'll be better for it.

Happy to you!
Some fine images and I'm sure you have more.
Falklands is a special place. I have been there several times and I'm thinking about a return trip. Your images make me want to start planning.
You selected 2 excellent places to visit for sure. If you return then I have several suggestions of some other places including Sea Lion Island, and if possible, Jason Steeple.
I am looking forward to more, including those albatrosses and rock hoppers and cormorants.
BTW I really like #1 and 2 and of course anything with a king penguin in it.
Don
Hi Don,
Thanks for the additional info. Next trip, I would still want to spend the better part of a week at Saunders, but I don't think I'd do a week at Volunteer Point. Might try to go to Steeple Jason from Saunders, and then go to Sea Lion, and then hit VP for maybe 2 days to round out the two weeks.
I hate to disappoint you, but I really don't have much in the way of the albatrosses. That is the biggest reason I am upset with myself. I also should have done better with the rockhoppers, but I do have several that might turn out to be presentable. Next time, you should come along so I can learn from watching how a Wildlife Photographer of the Year does it!

Absolutely gorgeous series, the color, composition and interaction are so filled with emotion and artistic expression. Thanks for the mention and huge congratulations!!! And huge respect for surviving at the harsh Saunders Neck tent!
