p.1 #1 · Choti Tara - The Walk and the penetrating look
I was fortunate to be able to spend 7 days in one of the Tiger Reserves in India in early November. This was only possible with the help of Subrat, who unfortunately could not join. I was joined by another friend, JV, who is a good photographer and for whom this was a first wildlife photo safari trip. Must say that Subrat and I initiated him in an awesome manner.
The females tigers of this reserve are the ones that the entire tiger tourism industry depend on for reliable sighting. If it was not for these females, the tourists would be a very upset and disappointed bunch. 3 of these females have a litter of cubs and it is a fortunate sighting to get the entire family group in one go. I will post pictures of these later. Tara is the daughter of another tigress named Tara and hence, Choti, i.e, Junior.
The grasslands of this reserve have amazing light in the morning and I was so fortunate to get some of it at the last safari.
Here are some pics of the most famous and coolest cat, Choti Tara

Beautiful, just beautiful.....you were fortunate indeed and I can not wait to see the whole family....that must have brought ear to ear smiles for quite some time.

Eric, I was thinking of both Subrat and you when these sighting(s) took place, since you are both big time Big Cat lovers. and yes the Adrenalin rush was present for quite a while afterwards.

Very nice images. Thank you for sharing! As Subrat pointed out, the winter light is very clear. It makes the tigress even more beautiful.
SR - thanks for viewing and yes the winter coat and the winter light adds another dimension to these lovely cats
