Miss Sylvie is 6 months old - it seems most of her days have passed by in a blur of haze, fear, and anxiety. We're slowly crawling out of that dark hold and are able to enjoy our new baby. I wanted to share a few new ones of her. She's a very sweet girl, if I do say so myself, and we're so thankful for how well she is doing now.
She is learning to sit up! She cannot sit unassisted yet, but with a little support from blankets inside of a prop, she does a good job holding her body and head up.
Another fall image from our recent trip to our cabin in Montana...
This one is part of an ongoing series I've done over the course of the past 7 years with my oldest daughter and her younger siblings. Somehow we missed Elliott in there, but I have a similar shot of her and Octavia from 7 years ago, and her and Gabriel from 3 years ago. I think this is my favorite installment thus far. Taken using natural light in my garage...
Last but not least, another installment in her modeling pictures. She was sent several outfits from the Feltman Brothers to model - this is a new cardigan and hat set they are selling this fall/winter.
She is soooo sweet. With the fall colors the images are gorgeous. The tender B&W is an image that will bring fond memories for Calista in years to come. You seem to have mastered B&W, as much as you have color. Thanks for sharing, and glad to hear Sylvie is doing well.

Ok, cool - more backlit kids in fields to peruse...
Nice overall, but I find your PP is overdone on the eyes. I worked on them (won't post, because we know that is a no-no for you), and the result was much more pleasing IMO
Greg - you've made this exact same 'backlit kids in a field' comment using those exact same words on at least 3 of my posts now. I guess you missed the 2 in this that weren't backlit kids in a field? Not sure why you continue to harp on that. If you don't like it, that is fine - it's personal preference. Just pass on by. I enjoy back lighting and I like fields - it's all good. I also have many, many other styles and locations represented in my body of work, so it's not really a true statement. Also, please refrain from downloading my images onto your computer and 'working' on them. It's not necessary or wanted. Thanks.
Also, RE the eyes being 'overdone'....perhaps you should take that up with Sylvie. Here is an unedited cell phone shot of her. Hmmm. Funny though, I doubt she gives a hoot what you think about her eyes.
I always look forward to your posts Lisa and these are IMO, about as good as anyone can get. What a sweet bundle of joy you have in little Sylvie! Can't thank you enough for sharing. Great work!
Your work is, obviously, top notch all the time. But occasionally there's one that just slays me, a photo that I can't turn away from for some reason. Sylvie in the cardigan and hat is one such image. It's her expression. What do you think she's thinking at this exact moment? Love it.
