The 5Ds & 5DsR are "Studio" designation ... but no flip screen. Imo, the 2nd generation of the 5Ds/5DsR should have the articulating display to go along with extraordinary detail of the 5Ds/5DsR pixel density (assumed to be same as 80D in next gen), coupled with new lower base ISO of the 80D / 5D4.
The combination of 7 FPS + highest pixel density + low base ISO = pretty versatile all around, even if there are other cameras that better it in any particular category (i.e. high ISO, FPS). To better it as an all around camera, you've probably got to go to the 90D ... or move into FF. But even then, you're still gonna cap out the matrix of processing FPS + pixel density + ISO performance @ choose your poison(s) decisions to be made.
No perfect digital camera out there for everything ... but, imo the 80D gets pretty good marks for good IQ when you treat it with sufficient light. Which BTW, it seems pretty responsive in AF performance despite being a "consumer grade" camera. But, I've not shot with the likes of the newer 1DX2, so that might be kind of relative, compared to my former use of the 1D2 N. That kinda echos Jeff's comment about handling the 100-400 II really well ... +1 @ it does.
I've always been a FF fan, but with the lower base ISO of the 80D, it's IQ holds up well. While the form factor leaves things a bit more challenging on the UWA side of things, it does open up for some different glass, such as the Sigma 50-100/1.8, etc.
As to the file diff ... without going through a lengthy comparison. I had the 70D, sent it back. Got the 80D, kept it.

Thanks, I'm using a 6D now, but would really like a more versatile daily shooter. The 6D has really good image quality and high ISO capability in my opinion, but I would enjoy the better autofocus, rule of 3rds AF point locations, touch screen, dual pixel AF, faster burst mode, built in flash etc... of the 80D.
