I loaded the width comparison picture into Photoshop and measured the pixel widths of the GFX (~182px) and X1D (~168px). Although Fuji doesn't seem to have released measurements for the GFX, FujiAddict has estimated its width as ~152mm, which accords with reports that it is only slightly wider than the X-Pro2 (141mm). And the published width of the GFX is 150mm. So it would appear that the GFX has been upsized (or the X1D downsized) in the comparison picture.
And the original Japanese site, from which the picture was taken, says "Since 'GFX 50S' has not been released yet detailed specification table, product size may differ from actual product. After the official announcement, we will check the size again and it will be updated."

This updated comparison seems to be correct.

Wow x1d is really small. Fuji should cut the back part.
The Fujifilm camera includes a focal plane shutter as well as a tilting rear LCD screen which are both absent from the new Haselblad. As a result, Cambo could make a camera standard mount for the Fujifilm for either the Cambo Actus or the Cambo Actus DB2 and the camera could be used with both lenses lacking as well as with leaf shutters. At this point, Cambo only offers the ability to mount digital MF backs to the Cambo Actus DB2. No MF digital bodies at this point can be mounted to either Cambo Actus. As things stand now, if Cambo offers a camera standard mount, the Hasselblad could only be used with leaf shutter lenses including MF and LF film or digital lenses and that may not be possible if the camera lacks the ability to offer a bulb setting or the ability to shoot without a lens.

Looks like Fuji will be making a Hasselblad H mount adapter.
This is a clever way for Fuji to avoid making leaf-shutter lenses - I imagine since Fuji also designed (and manufactures?) the H lenses they would work seamlessly together. But what a huge price to pay...I really hope Fuji will open up its flash protocols to the major lighting companies whose users would be very interested in this new system.

Did I accidentally click on the Sony forum? We're complaining about how big this camera with a 44x33 sensor yet smaller than a D810 is?
I have lots of issues with this whole tiny-camera movement, and I could go on and on for days, but I'll just leave it at this: I seriously wish they'd specify camera size as a ratio of cm2 per minute battery life instead of just straight dimensional values.

With the price announcement, I'm getting pretty excited about the GFX. If I can adapt my Zeiss 80mm f/2.0 to it, or (dream of all dreams) adapt my Nikon 58/1.4 to it, I'll be 100% sold. Really curious to see which 36x24 format lenses will cover the bigger image circle and be adaptable. I know off the bat that Leica's 90/2.0 covers full 645, but it's a bit long for me on the smaller Fuji sensor.
Looks like a pretty impressive portrait and landscape camera!

Have you no clue how quite forums would become if there was no complaining?

Lee, if you want a big hefty camera with a large capacity battery...there are plenty out there...have at it. Some might just like carrying around less bulk and weight...funny how that is.

I have always been a strong proponent of smaller, lighter and easy to go camera systems. I started a number of threads specific to this topic.
This is a strength of the A7 series combined with unique lenses and not to dismiss those who prefer a larger form factor. I have opted for the D750/D810 system over the A7rII for now as it is not always just about the camera body but a system that works for our needs at a given price level.
Personally I have always loved small, compact cameras. In 2009 there were very few options for small and light FF systems and the M9/M240/Monochrom served me well for 5 years

Unfortunately, what you save by using smaller batteries, doesn't offset the need to carry a big bag full of extra batteries and chargers...

Yes, Fuji makes the H-series lenses. They also market them under their own name in Japan (or at least they did, when the H-system first came out...)
It would be great if someone offered adapters for Contax 645 lenses too... and Pentax as well.

I carry two spares...does me for the day. In fact I never needed to use the 2nd spare. I can handle that extra weight and bulk in my pack...much better than dangling around my neck or hanging off my wrist.
I always carried spare batteries when using my DSLR's...stupid not to.

Well here's the Fuji adapter for Hasselblad H mount:
I don't know about that picture. It doesn't look long enough. An H adapter would need to add about 35mm of extension from the Fuji mount (the Hassy H mount has a 61.63mm registration distance) and that adapter looks if anything shorter than my novoflex adapters for Leica R and Nikon F that are less than 30mm.

It's not so bad out here in lotus land - the weather is pretty warm most of the time. Back in Alberta, in the winter, 2 batteries might get me about 30 minutes of shooting with the Sony - if I was lucky.
50 shots per battery (maximum) in these scenarios...

In those conditions I typically have a destination in mind, get there shoot it and get out. I don't wander around for the day...I give out way sooner than any battery.
Now...turn the wheel and imagine carrying a DSLR with big lens and battery through 3 weeks of Vietnam all day long. You'll quickly understand the benefits of lighter and less bulky systems when temperatures reach over 100 degrees and humidity is higher than a bathroom after a shower.
