Got engaged over the Memorial Day weekend! One of my best friends flew in from AZ to TX to help celebrate with us. Was a special day for my girl and I as well as having my best friend fire off some shots during the big event:

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think your friend was on the wrong side of the scene.

Not a problem. I was actually questioning if I should post these because they are from the "wrong side" and would get "criticized" but figured what the hell. The proposal was a complete surprise and where he was at was hidden from her view when she got to the park; there are some stairs to camera left that he was behind. If he was on the other side, she would've seen him and my cover would've been blown. We do have a lot more from the event but they were taken with his camera (canon and 135) and not with my 105.

I did desaturate but then didn't like it, so I re-uploaded the image with slightly more color to it.

I can never make up my mind about editing. And I'm never consistent with processing, which is a problem...

I agree with Charles K, the slight green desaturation blends really well with the style of the dress but for me, the skin is then too orange-saturated for the mood of the picture, at least for my taste...
