Had an itch for GAS so did a lot of selling and buying recently: Sold both D3s bodies a few months ago. Picked up 3 D750's, ditched all of my zooms and added a 24mm f/2.4G + 35mm f/1.4G
Also ditched both Profoto D1's and picked up an additional B1 and B2, added more modifiers, etc.

Wow... I'm in the market for some flash heads with battery pack. Is profoto what you would recommend? They are carried at the local camera store here. I know they have great reviews, just need one with enough watt seconds...

For me, 500 is plenty for pretty much anything. If it's one thing that I hate about Profoto it's the recessed bulbs on pretty much every head they have; I wish it was sticking out, just like the Broncolor for a wider coverage (which would work better on my Broncolor Para 220, creating a ring-like effect those para's are known for).
If I was to start from scratch, Broncolor system would be the company I would invest in. Too bad they introduced their Siros way later after I bought my first B1 and there's no way I'm switching to Broncolor now. Also, it's worth to mention that Profoto's Air Remote is the best transmitter ever designed, period. Way better than Broncolor RFS-2 Transmitter which doesn't allow you to change the power settings; it's only possible through the app.
So I guess it's safe to say that I'm glad I went with Profoto... with a slight minor disappointment about recessed bulb.

You must be talking about the 24mm 1.4G, right?
I'm surprised you ditched the pro bodies I thought you loved those D3s?

I wondered if you had seem these glass domes that you can get for the B1's? they only seem to market them as a D1 accessory but I bought one a while ago and it is a perfect fit on my B1 and it definitely improves the coverage when using big modifiers.

While the optional glass dome does certainly help, depending on the modifier, unfortunately the result may still not be quite the same as what one would get with a true protruding flash tube. I tried to compare and show that with Para 220FB here. That being said, I am still pretty happy with Profoto lights

Yes, the 1.4G
I'm surprised myself, I didn't want to get rid of them. Long story short, I wanted a lighter and a simpler setup for weddings. This resulted in ditching half of my lenses along with pro bodies. This will allow me to concentrate more on moments, people, action, etc as opposed to lugging heavy zooms and complicating things with 8 whooping lenses.
I found myself swapping lenses back and fourth all day long... none of that anymore.
Reason number two: sometimes I'll have to crop a few times here and there when using prime lenses... D750's 24mp will allow me to do this.

We bare-bulb Profoto junkies use the older-generation AcuteB 600. These even ship with a shoulder strap so one can shoot on the move. Not sure what modifier is ideal in that mode, but a medium SB is probably not it.

Here are a few recents shot with the 105. Bella is 9 years young, and as with most yellow labs such a sweet, gentle and loving family member.
Enjoy,
Mike
I also have shots of Bella
A bit different, in this case she is one of the world top models Bella Hadid.
Took some shots in a high school gymnasium today and the autofocus was HORRIBLE. It kept trying to focus on the basketball net and not the person. Had to use manual focus. Any tips for next time? my other lenses focused just fine, and my 105 focuses perfect outdoors...
