Wanted to capture this shot for a couple of years and finally the conditions were near perfect.
A little light pollution from Telluride on my 15 minute Milky Way exposure along a few clouds along the peaks still worked out ok.

Did you mean 15 seconds? Because there's no way you can not have significant star trails with a 15 minute exposure without polar mounting (in which case the landscape would have the equivalent of star trail blur)

It was done with a tracking mount.
