Geoff,
I'll be up there the whole month of November this year. I've got 2 workshops (1st week and 3rd week of November). Beside those weeks, I'll be shooting in the area for myself and exploring a few new locations. If you make it down, lets get out to dinner.

Great looking eagles Matt. Hope to see you there again this November.
All the images were taken up near Haines, Alaska in November. There is a real late salmon run that brings in thousands of eagles as all the other rivers (and food sources) freeze up.
Stunning shots, Matt! I'm going on an Alaska cruise later this month. Do you know if the shore excursions at Sitka and Juneau provide good opportunities for eagle and bear photography?
I'm sure you'll see some eagles in Juneau and Sitka. I'm not sure how photographic they will be. Keep an eye out at the marinas and near the water. They like to hang out on the pilings and boat rigging. Just look for the white heads in the trees.
